Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, passing through beautiful mountain landscapes and river valleys. Visit the majestic Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering spectacular views over the Thimphu Valley and a peaceful introduction to Bhutan's spiritual heritage. Continue to the Bhutan Postal Museum, where you can create personalized Bhutanese postage stamps using your own photographs—a unique souvenir to remember your Bhutan adventure. | Day 2 | Tiger's Nest Hike |
Elevation:Tigers nest - 3120m/1040ft Distance :12 km (round trip) Time taken - 5-6hours. Today, embark on the unforgettable hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang), Bhutan's most iconic and sacred landmark. Dramatically perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley, the monastery is believed to be the site where Guru Rinpoche flew on the back of a tigress and meditated in a cave during the 8th century, bringing Buddhism to Bhutan. The hike covers approximately 12 km (round trip) and takes about 4–6 hours, depending on your pace and fitness level. The trail winds through beautiful pine forests adorned with colorful prayer flags and offers spectacular views of the valley below. Reaching the monastery is a rewarding experience, combining breathtaking scenery with deep spiritual significance. After descending from the monastery, return to Paro and spend a relaxing evening at a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse.
