After completing the necessary formalities and familiarizing yourself with the bike, begin your first ride through the scenic Paro Valley. Ride towards the historic Drukgyel Dzong, a fortress built in 1649 to commemorate Bhutan's victory over Tibetan invaders. On clear days, enjoy stunning views of the sacred Mount Jomolhari rising majestically in the distance. Take time to explore the area, capture beautiful photographs, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before riding back through the picturesque valley. In the evening, explore the charming town of Paro at your leisure. Elevation: Thimphu – 2,334m / 7,656 ft Ride Distance: Approximately 115 km | Riding Time: Approximately 4–5 hours (excluding sightseeing stops) Elevation in paro - 2250m/7382 ft Elevation in Chelela - 3,988m/13083 ft After breakfast, begin an exciting ride from Paro towards the beautiful Haa Valley. The road gradually climbs through dense forests of pine and rhododendron to the spectacular Chele La Pass (3,988m), the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. Adorned with colorful prayer flags, the pass offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range and the valleys below, making it one of the most rewarding rides in the country. Continue descending into the pristine Haa Valley, one of Bhutan's least-visited and most scenic regions. Visit the sacred Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple), one of the valley's most important religious sites. According to local legend, the temple was built on the spot where a sacred white pigeon landed, marking it as a blessed location. After exploring Haa, continue your ride through winding mountain roads and picturesque landscapes towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of forests, rivers, and traditional villages that showcase the country's natural beauty and rich culture. Standing 51 meters tall and overlooking the Thimphu Valley, this iconic landmark offers spectacular panoramic views and a peaceful start to the day's journey. Mount your motorcycle and ride out of Thimphu towards the famous Dochula Pass (3,100m). One of Bhutan's most scenic mountain passes, Dochula is home to the iconic 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks on clear days. Take a short break to enjoy the scenery and capture memorable photographs. Continue the ride downhill through winding mountain roads towards Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang, passing beautiful forests, traditional villages, and terraced farmlands. The changing landscapes make this one of the most enjoyable rides in Bhutan. From Wangdue Phodrang, ascend into the stunning glacial valley of Phobjikha, known for its wide-open landscapes, peaceful atmosphere, and rich natural beauty. Elevation: Thimphu – 2334m/7656 ft Elevation: Punakha – 1200m/4000 ft Elevation: Phobjikha – 3000m/9800 ft Ride Distance: 150 km | Travel Time: Approximately 5–6 hours (excluding sightseeing stops) After breakfast, depart the peaceful Phobjikha Valley and enjoy a scenic ride through winding mountain roads towards Punakha. Descend through beautiful forests and traditional villages while taking in the ever-changing landscapes of central Bhutan. Upon reaching Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, known as the "Palace of Great Happiness." Built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the unifier of Bhutan, this stunning fortress sits at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers and is considered one of the most beautiful dzongs in the country. After exploring the dzong and enjoying lunch in Punakha, continue your ride back towards Thimphu via the scenic Dochula Pass. | Day 5 | Thimphu – Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike |
Elevation: Thimphu – 2334m/7656 ft Elevation: Paro – 2250m/7382 ft Distance: 55 km | Travel Time: approx. 1-1.5 hrs After breakfast, enjoy a scenic morning ride from Thimphu to Paro, following the beautiful Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys. Upon arrival, prepare for the highlight of your Bhutan adventure – the hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang). Perched dramatically on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley, Tiger’s Nest is Bhutan’s most sacred and iconic monastery. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) flew to this site on the back of a tigress and meditated here in the 8th century, introducing Buddhism to Bhutan. The hike covers approximately 12 km (round trip) and takes about 4–6 hours, depending on your pace. The trail passes through beautiful pine forests, colorful prayer flags, and spectacular viewpoints before reaching the monastery. After descending from the monastery, return to Paro and spend the evening at a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse. Enjoy an authentic farmhouse dinner, experience warm Bhutanese hospitality, and reflect on the unforgettable adventures of your motorcycle journey through the Himalayas. Overnight in Paro. |

After breakfast, enjoy some free time depending on your flight schedule before transferring to Paro International Airport for your departure. As you bid farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon, take with you memories of breathtaking mountain roads, high Himalayan passes, ancient monasteries, vibrant culture, and the warm hospitality of the Bhutanese people.
